WINE TOURISM IN CAMARGUE
The Camargue… the undiscovered jewel of southern France
The Camargue, the marsh of Provence develops its very own charm. This flat reed-covered area with its canals is a peaceful land.
The story of this region was written by the “Cowboys of the Camargue” (horse and bull breeders), fisherman and salt workers.
A beautiful day begins with a wine tasting at a winery in the Camargue. The winemaker will tell us all about his work, the soil conditions and his wines. After a stroll in the vineyards and a visit in his wine cellar we will taste his wines together. Lunch includes typical, local delicacies from organic producers.
Afterwards we visit a Manade, (bull breeding farm), to get to know all of one of the oldest traditions of this area, the Cowboys of the Camargue.
After another visit of a winery with wine tasting we will slowly return towards our starting point.
